This blog covers 4 separate rides which total another 124.2miles and this means that I am now more than halfway through my Lands End to John O'Groats - trans-Britain virtual ride!
In terms of the Global Home Challenge, I have accumulated more than 330 miles but, so far, raised just $60. I did place a funding request on Facebook, appealing to my 400+ Facebook friends, however, the only person to contribute was an old friend living in America who have not seen for decades! Readers, can you help me on this please?!
The weather here in England has finally relented and the sunshine is more limited! As a result I have been trying to dodge the rain showers (not always successfully!) and facing some blustery winds. Winds, when they are tailwinds are great fun but headwinds can be real hard work and seem to sap your energy. I cannot always work out which direction the winds are coming and sometime they all seem to be headwinds, no matter which direction I am cycling!
Between the rides, Elaine and I have been exploring some areas along with our dog, Hank, our golden retriever. We have found some great new places or gone to places we have not been to in months.
